Аннотация:
The construction of new or reconstruction of existing railway lines requires significant investments, which are distributed over time. The developed options that are subject to comparison, as a rule, differ not only in technical parameters, but also in the different distribution of the necessary investments over the years of construction or reconstruction. The reduction to a comparable type of multi-time costs is of great importance in the justification and selection of the final option. The existing approach of bringing the time-dispersed monetary costs of new construction and reconstruction of existing railway facilities to a comparable type of cost underestimates the real effectiveness of the options due to the use of the discount factor. Its application does not show the decision-maker real cash flows (results and costs) investment projects. The article suggests another way to bring different-time costs to a comparable form when comparing.
